What is a Webinar?

'Webinar' is an acronym for a Web Based Seminar.

A Webinar is a live interactive online web-based seminar that is transmitted over the web and allows interaction between the presenter and audience.

Attending a training webinar is like attending any training course apart from the place where the event takes place. Instead of meeting in a classroom, we will meet in a virtual training room on the web. Each participant sits at their own computer and is connected to the training webinar.

Joining a training webinar is quick and easy! You will receive an email with instructions as soon as your registration has been received and confirmed.

Once you have logged in, you can sit back and listen to the presentation on your computer or telephone while watching it on your screen. If you wish to ask a question, you can raise your hand by clicking on the hand symbol which will appear on your screen.

Our webinars are collaborative and include polling and question & answer sessions to allow full participation between the audience and the presenter. You will be able to view the presenter's screen and listen to them talk while pointing out information on screen. The audience can type responses or questions to the presenter.

So what is required to participate?

Basically a personal computer with access to the internet, speakers or headset connected to your computer, a microphone or a telephone is all you need. No special software is required to participate.
